Adeline Rockett was born in Saskatchewan. She received her B.A. and B.Ed. from the University of Saskatchewan and an M.Ed. in Art Education from the University of Alberta. She has taught at both Universities. Rockett has participated in workshops at the Banff school of Fine Arts, and carried out gallery studies in major galleries in London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and the Smithsonian Institute.

She has had 41 solo shows and has participated in numerous group and traveling exhibitions. Her work is included in over seventy corporate and public collections throughout Canada, the United States and Europe, including the Royal Collection of Drawings and Watercolours in Windsor Castle, England.

Adeline was one of 25 Canadian watercolourists chosen to represent Canada in International Waters, a show which toured Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom from 1991 to 1993 and more recently, one of 25 Canadian watercolourists participating in a Juried Exchange Millennium Exhibition sponsored by the Mexican National Museum of Watercolour and the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour.

She was the national winner of the Millennium Art Competition sponsored by the Soil Conservation Council of Canada and the Canada Millennium Partnership Program. She was presented with her award by the Hon. Herb Gray, Deputy Prime Minister of Canada at the National Art Gallery in March 2000. Her award winning painting hangs in the conservation Hall of Fame in Ottawa. Adeline Rockett Passed away on April 3rd, 2024.
